Grant Datblygu Disgyblion (PDG)
Mae’r Grant Datblygu Disgyblion (PDG) yn cael ei ddyrannu i ysgolion gyda disgyblion sy’n dod o deuluoedd incwm isel ac sy’n hysbys ar hyn o bryd i fod yn gymwys i gael prydau ysgol am ddim (e-FSM), a disgyblion sydd wedi bod mewn gofal yn barhaus am fwy na chwe mis (LAC). Disgwylir i ysgolion wneud y defnydd gorau o’r cyllid hwn i weithredu strategaethau cynaliadwy a fydd yn sicrhau newidiadau cyflym ar gyfer dysgwyr sy’n gymwys i gael prydau ysgol am ddim neu sy’n LAC.
Fel ysgol rydym wedi cytuno ar y tri cham canlynol:
- Adnabod y grŵp targed o ddisgyblion, eu nodweddion a’u hanghenion
- Cynllunio ymyriadau sy’n gwneud y defnydd mwyaf effeithiol o adnoddau
- Monitro ac arfarnu effaith adnoddau
Yn 2024-25 darparwyd dyraniad PDG o £6,444.00 i Ysgol Beca.
Mae gennym gynllun cynhwysfawr, wedi’i gytuno a’i fonitro gan Awdurdod Lleol Sir Gaerfyrddin, i hyrwyddo cynnydd a dileu rhwystrau i ddysgu i fyfyrwyr sy’n gymwys i dderbyn y cyllid hwn. Rydym wedi defnyddio’r cyllid sydd ar gael i:
- Ddarparu ymyriadau a chefnogaeth o fewn ac y tu allan i’r ystafelloedd dosbarth sy’n gwneud y defnydd mwyaf effeithiol o adnoddau
- Ddarparu cefnogaeth o ansawdd uchel i grwpiau o ddisgyblion i sicrhau eu bod yn gwneud cynnydd, gyda phwyslais arbennig ar lythrennedd a rhifedd
- Sicrhau bod dysgwyr yn cael mynediad at gefnogaeth emosiynol a lles
- Darparu lefel uwch o staffio mewn dosbarthiadau lle mae angen ychwanegol
Byddwn yn parhau i fonitro effaith y cyllid hwn yn agos er mwyn sicrhau ei fod yn gwneud y gwahaniaeth mwyaf posibl i’n dysgwyr.
Pupil Development Grant (PDG)
The Pupil Development Grant (PDG) is allocated to schools with pupils who come from low-income families and are currently known to be eligible for free school meals (e-FSM) and pupils who have been looked after continuously for more than six months (LAC). Schools are expected to make the best use of this funding to implement sustainable strategies that will quickly bring about changes for learners eligible for free school meals or who are LAC.
As a school, we have agreed on the following three steps:
- To identify the target group of pupils, its characteristics, and needs
- To plan interventions which make the most effective use of resources
- To monitor and evaluate the impact of resources
In 2024-25, Ysgol Beca was provided with a PDG allocation of £6,444.00.
We have a comprehensive plan, agreed and monitored by Carmarthenshire Local Authority, to promote progress and remove barriers to learning for students eligible for this funding. We have used the funding available to:
- Provide interventions and support within and outside of classrooms which make the most effective use of resources
- Provide high-quality support for groups of pupils to ensure they make progress, with particular focus on literacy and numeracy
- Ensure learners have access to emotional and wellbeing support
- Provide a higher level of staffing in classes where additional support is required
We will continue to monitor the impact of this funding closely to ensure it makes the greatest possible difference for our learners.
