Grant Datblygu Disgyblion (GDD) a Grant Datblygu Disgyblion y Blynyddoedd Cynnar (GDDBC)

Darperir y Grant Datblygu Disgyblion (GDD) a Grant Datblygu Disgyblion y Blynyddoedd Cynnar (GDDBC) i ysgolion er mwyn cefnogi dysgwyr o deuluoedd incwm isel sy’n gymwys i gael prydau ysgol am ddim (eFSM), dysgwyr sy’n blant sy’n derbyn gofal (LAC), a disgyblion cymwys yn y blynyddoedd cynnar. Disgwylir i ysgolion ddefnyddio’r cyllid hwn i weithredu strategaethau cynaliadwy sy’n lleihau rhwystrau i ddysgu ac yn gwella deilliannau.

Yn Ysgol Beca, mae gennym gynllun clir, a gaiff ei fonitro gan Awdurdod Lleol Sir Gaerfyrddin, i hyrwyddo cynnydd a dileu rhwystrau i ddysgu i ddisgyblion sy’n gymwys i gael y cyllid hwn.

Ein dull gweithredu

Fel ysgol, rydym yn dilyn tri cham y cytunwyd arnynt:

  1. nodi’r grŵp targed o ddisgyblion, eu nodweddion a’u hanghenion
  2. cynllunio cymorth sy’n gwneud y defnydd mwyaf effeithiol o’r adnoddau sydd ar gael
  3. monitro a gwerthuso effaith y cymorth hwn

Yn ystod y flwyddyn academaidd 2025–2026, derbyniodd Ysgol Beca:

  • Dyraniad ‘Llyfnhau’ PDG: £0
  • Grant Datblygu Disgyblion y Blynyddoedd Cynnar (EYPDG): £0

Sut rydym yn defnyddio’r cyllid

Oherwydd graddfa gymharol fach dyraniadau’r PDG a’r EYPDG, defnyddir y cyllid i gyfrannu at gapasiti staffio a darpariaeth wedi’i thargedu, yn hytrach nag i ariannu swyddi penodol neu raglenni annibynnol.

Mae’r cyllid yn cefnogi:

  • cymorth wedi’i dargedu yn y dosbarth ac mewn grwpiau bach, yn enwedig mewn llythrennedd a rhifedd
  • lles emosiynol disgyblion, ymgysylltiad a pharodrwydd i ddysgu
  • adnabod anghenion yn gynnar ac ymyrraeth amserol
  • mynediad teg at ymweliadau addysgol a phrofiadau dysgu ehangach

Monitro ac effaith

Caiff effaith cyllid ei fonitro drwy wybodaeth asesu a thracio, cyfarfodydd cynnydd disgyblion, data presenoldeb a lles, a gwerthusiad proffesiynol.

Mae cynllun manylach sy’n amlinellu gwariant ac effaith ar gael ar gais.

Pupil Development Grant (PDG) and Early Years Pupil Development Grant (EYPDG)

The Pupil Development Grant (PDG) and Early Years Pupil Development Grant (EYPDG) are provided to schools to support learners from low-income families who are eligible for free school meals (eFSM), learners who are looked after (LAC), and eligible pupils in the early years. Schools are expected to use this funding to implement sustainable strategies that reduce barriers to learning and improve outcomes.

At Ysgol Beca, we have a clear plan, monitored by Carmarthenshire Local Authority, to promote progress and remove barriers to learning for pupils eligible for this funding.

Our approach

As a school, we follow three agreed steps:

  1. to identify the target group of pupils, their characteristics and needs
  2. to plan support that makes the most effective use of available resources
  3. to monitor and evaluate the impact of this support

Funding allocation 2025–2026

In the 2025–2026 academic year, Ysgol Beca received:

  • Pupil Development Grant (PDG): £8,050.00
  • PDG ‘Smoothing’ allocation: £0
  • Early Years Pupil Development Grant (EYPDG): £0

How we use the funding

Due to the relatively small scale of the PDG allocation, funding is used to contribute towards staffing capacity and targeted provision, rather than to fund discrete posts or standalone programmes.

The funding supports:

  • targeted in-class and small-group support, particularly in literacy and numeracy
  • pupils’ emotional wellbeing, engagement and readiness to learn
  • early identification of need and timely intervention
  • equitable access to educational visits and wider learning experiences

Monitoring and impact

The impact of funding is monitored through assessment and tracking information, pupil progress meetings, attendance and wellbeing data, and professional evaluation.
